Keep in mind, ski- and weather-driven traffic is very common on the drive from Denver to Winter Park and can more than double your drive time during holidays, weekends, and winter weather conditions.

What to bring for a day trip

Because you’re driving up from lower elevation, pack for a bigger temperature swing than you’d expect in Denver:

Warm, weatherproof and waterproof layers. We rent one-piece snowsuits to wear over your warm layers.
Gloves — waterproof and warm ones are required and available for sale.
Goggles — snow goggles are required for all our snowmobile activities. They provide protection from snow, wind, ice, and cold air. Sunglasses are not allowed.
Facemask/Buff/Balaclava or scarf — helps keep you warm and protected from harsh wind and weather on exposed skin.
Water and snacks to enjoy when you stop for the views.
